About Military Caregivers of America, LLC

 

Military Caregivers of America, LLC is a family-owned nursing referral service agency located in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. MCA’s highly trained and vetted healthcare professionals work tirelessly to assist our clients with those activities of daily living that are so critical to their independence and ability to stay in their own home as long as possible. Our administrative and office staff coordinate all these services to provide exceptional service for our clients. The management staff of our company are experts in healthcare and the in-home care industries. MCA is dedicated to working diligently to find the best options for our clients’ unique in-home care situations.

 

Our company was established in answer to a great need that exists in our society, respite care for our military caregivers- the Hidden Heroes who have committed to caring for their wounded, ill, or injured family members. Through Hidden Heroes: America’s Military Caregivers, the RAND Study commissioned by the Elizabeth Dole Foundation, we learned that there are an estimated 5.5 million military caregivers in the United States. In many cases, these caregivers are on this journey in total isolation, without any support. 

 

MCA’s mission is to provide first-class, individualized in-home care services to assist veterans and their caregivers to experience an optimal quality of life in the comfort of their own homes. We also provide in-home care services to patients discharged from inpatient acute care settings to help them regain strength and functional mobility in the comfort of their own homes. We strive to ensure that every member of MCA, from management to our healthcare professionals, works together as a caring support system for these our underserved Hidden Heroes. Although our company was established to meet the needs of all-era veterans and their caregivers, Military Caregivers of America, LLC also serves non-military families.
